The Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015 (HDCA) was established to address the misuse of technology to harm individuals. Its purpose is to “deter, prevent, and mitigate harm caused to individuals by digital communications” and reduce the impact of harm on affected individuals, and provide avenues for redress.
